- Engage in deep conversation and writing about important, celebratory, and vulnerable topics—a smattering of comic relief and levity. In mutual support and companionship, we explore the book Living Fully and Dying Prepared, by Death Doula Francesca Arnoldy, and supported by a grant from the Community Death Literacy Project.
- You can expect warm intimate conversations, as we journey together for 6 weeks. Our small group (max. 9 participants) will be supported and facilitated by local Doulas and a graduate of Francesca’s Death Literacy Program.
- Check your calendars: It is best to commit to every week’s gathering, so please be sure to consider continued participation for the duration.
Q&A:
- Who is this for? Anyone who is going to die—and strives for a full life experience.
- Why set aside time to do this type of work and why with other people? Exploring death, decisions and opportunities allows us to live more fully, honestly, and completely. We share experiences and perspectives, hopes and fears—and a mutually supportive journey.
- What is provided? The book Living Fully and Dying Prepared; time and space at the Lincoln Library.
- What is expected? Presence. Homework encouraged. Mutual support and companionship.
- How is this different from a grief group or the death cafes? This is not a help group. We will work through the book together.
- How much does it cost? There is no cost; however, donations to the Lincoln Library are appreciated—and will help purchase books on life, death, grief, and dying.
Outcome: A larger embrace of our lives and eventual death experience.
Come gather with your community to discuss, plan, revel,
and dream our way into living fully and dying prepared.
