There will be no formal story time April 7th. Debi and Ellen will be away at a conference.
Also, the Library will be closed on Friday, April 21st for carpet cleaning.
Chess Sets needed. Mike Gray is collecting chess sets that will be sent to 3 elementary schools in Nicaragua through Project Hope in Montpelier. He needs the sets by next Wednesday, April 5th. You can bring them to the Library. They don’t need to be brand new, but in good shape.
Native Art with Betsy. Wednesday, April 5th, 3:30-4:30pm. “This art program will be for making totems in recognition of our librarian Debi. We will borrow from Native traditions to recognize the importance of having Debi in our lives over the years and to wish her well in this new chapter for her and her family as she prepares for retirement.” Betsy Graziadei (Ages 5 and up.)
Hero’s Training Camp. Lincoln Library. April 24 – 26, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.* Ages 7 – 12 (*a 4th day and extended hours may be scheduled with high enrollment)
The Lincoln Library is pleased to host the town’s first ever Spring Vacation Live Action Role Play camp. This camp will consist of games and adventures with foam weapons, such as capture the flag, everybody for him/herself battles, and much more. Over the three days we will fight great battles and embark on a journey to defeat an evil sorcerer.
Each day of the camp will be 3 (or more) hours, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Lincoln Library, with a break for lunch. Participants will need to bring their own lunch.
The cost is $60.00 per child for all three days, which includes $15.00 for weapon-making materials. Participants will be able to take their weapon home at the end of camp. Wisdom Edwards, Shamus Hayes, and Jade Edwards will run the camp with adult supervision on site. All three leaders have summers of experience with Willowell camps. Last summer Wisdom and Shamus also completed Willowell’s Rooted Youth leadership camp and were assistants to Willowell’s summer camps for youth ranging in ages from 5 - 12. All three boys have lots of practice in weapon making and design.
Registration is limited so sign up early by contacting Rachel Edwards at 802-355-9306 or via email at email@example.com to receive a registration form.
